SBB rolls out planned 2024 night train connections

The Swiss Railways SBB joins ÖBB using the Nightjet trademark to deliver high-quality night sleeper trains connecting Zürich with various European cities.

The main network consists of trains connecting Zürich to Barcelona, Spain; Rome, Italy; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Hamburg and Berlin in Germany; Prague in the Czech Republic; Vienna and Graz in Austria and Budapest, Hungary.
The Swiss network is supplemented by the trains of the Austrian Railways from Vienna to Düsseldorf, Bologna and Berlin, of the Hungarian Railways from Budapest to Prague via Bratislava and by direct carriages to the Balkan states, Brüxelles and Paris.
Even though night trains themselves are not exactly cheap (particularly the berth or sleeping cars), you arrive earlier at the destination, meaning you can do one further leg of your journey away from a major transport hub, or enjoy the metropolitan area you visit for a longer time, and you spare a whole night of accommodation - it is no surprise that in Central and Eastern Europe sleeper trains have always been popular and that they are going to be reintroduced to Western Europe - this time by arguably the best quality railways of the continent that clearly have a vision.

Once this madness is over visit nightjet.com and find the best way to travel Europe - by train, of course!
